Z W Home Construction "ZWHC" is a General Contracting company owned & operated by Zack Wallin.
Specializing in residential construction with 17 years of experience, ZWHC has the ability to execute your project the way you envisioned along with a long-lasting quality finish.
Zack Wallin is a 2nd generation carpenter following in his father's footsteps.
His 1st introduction to the industry was interning for an architectural firm specializing in residential construction at the age of 17. Where he was set with various tasks such as archiving previous company blueprints & walking existing job sites to make revisions to plans. This internship resulted in a strong understanding of construction terminology & comprehension of reading a full set of building plans.
From there, Zack began working for a Custom Home Builder in Woodside, CA. Working on homes being built from the foundation up. Zack quickly become a main carpenter in the company with the ability to frame, install cabinets/mill work, install windows/doors, etc...
With a growing interest of every stage of the project, Zack later became one of the project managers in the company. Set with the responsibility to make sure the project was running smoothly, efficiently & on budget. Along with dealing with project bidding, permits, revisions & inspections.
In 2020 Zack passed the General Contractors License test & created Z W Home Construction. With a true interest in the residential construction industry, ZWHC choose the slogan "Built True". Meaning a structure or an object that has been constructed with precision, accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
Not only do we apply this standard to our building practice but believe every aspect of the project deserves it. Such as customer communication, planning, designing, & safety to complete the project.
Our Process
From small projects to big projects the 1st step of our process is the same. We start off with a phone call/job walk to nail down the basics of planning. Such as scope of work, time frame, design, &. budget.
(If needed we can point you in the direction of architects & designers.)
From there if ZWHC's values & principles are compatible with your project the estimating/bidding process begins.
For smaller projects you can a expect a couple days turn around. For large projects you can expect a week or two turn around.
Throughout your project you can expect a high level of customer service. From clear communications, project updates, a clean/safe job site & a responsibility to respect your property, time, and privacy
Preconstruction
Preconstruction is the phase where we define the project's purpose, timeline & budget. This is one of the key factors to creating a quality scope of work & set of plans.
Design &
Construction Estimate
Once a scope of work is defined, we concentrate on the design details & the project's construction cost.
Scheduling & Permits
Next is scheduling the project's start date & pulling permit if needed.
Construction Phase
Time to begin the project. Throughout the project, you'll have regular progress updates along with quality assurance of major phases.
